BHR Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Bart Andrews also spoke to St. Louis Public Radio addressing the government funding in place to hire additional people to answer 988. BHR plans to hire about 60 staffers to meet the new patient call in-volume.
“There’s going to be a huge hiring binge across the entire state of Missouri,” Andrews said. “Missouri will be in excellent shape for 988.”
